What we haul from renovation projects
Remodels leave a lot behind: offcuts, old cabinets, torn-out carpet, and a mountain of cardboard from everything new that came in. Whether you did the work yourself or hired it out, the cleanup often ends up being yours. We load it up and take it away, like the side yard of lumber, cardboard and debris in the photo on this page.
We handle whole-house jobs too. We emptied and gutted a 2,000 sq ft renovation house in two days. In Ashley W.'s words: "…quoted it might take up to 3 days and it was done in 2 days."
- Scrap lumber, trim and old deck boards
- Drywall scraps and other building leftovers
- Cabinets, vanities, countertops and doors that are already out
- Carpet and padding, including carpet we pull up ourselves, staples and all
- Tile, flooring and fixtures that are already disconnected
- Cardboard, packaging and boxes
- Rocks, stones and small amounts of broken concrete
- Old appliances replaced during a kitchen remodel
How a debris pickup works
Text a few photos of the pile to (855) 655-7552. Dominic often quotes right from photos. If it's a larger job or the debris is spread through the house, book a free in-person estimate online. There's no obligation.
On the day, we text you before we arrive. Nothing needs to be dragged to the curb. We carry from the side yard, garage, basement or upstairs, load the truck, and sweep up when we're done. Dominic is on jobs himself with his crew, and we're careful inside your home.
Same-day and next-day openings are often available across Monmouth, Mercer, Middlesex, Ocean and Burlington counties. Call or text early for the best chance.
Before we arrive
A few quick steps help the day go smoothly.
- Get anything attached disconnected first. We don't do plumbing or electrical work, so have your plumber or electrician handle sinks, toilets, light fixtures and wiring.
- Mark what stays. Spare tile, tools or materials your contractor still needs can get mixed into a pile, so set them aside or tape a note on them.
- Pull out paint cans, solvents and other chemicals. We can't take them.
- In an older home, have suspect flooring, insulation or pipe wrap tested for asbestos before anyone disturbs it. We can't haul asbestos.
- Tell us about stairs, long carries or tight hallways so the quote matches the real job.
What we can't take
We can't take hazardous materials: paint, chemicals, motor oil, propane tanks, asbestos or medical waste. Renovation piles often hide a half-used can of stain or a jug of solvent, so give yours a quick look. Not sure about something? Text us a photo and we'll let you know.
Licensed, insured and sorted responsibly
We sort what we haul. Items in good shape are donated and metal and electronics are recycled whenever possible. The rest goes to a licensed New Jersey facility.
New Jersey Junk Removal is an NJ A-901 licensed hauler. That's the state license for companies that haul waste for pay, and it includes a state background investigation. We're registered with the NJDEP (#0042737) and fully insured.
How pricing works for construction & renovation debris removal
Construction and renovation debris is priced per job, not per truckload. Four things set the price: how much there is, what's in it (some items cost more to dispose of legally, like an old refrigerator with refrigerant), how hard it is to reach, and whether anything has to be taken apart first, like an old deck. How easy the debris is to reach matters a lot. Half a truck carried down six flights of stairs costs more than a full truck already sitting in the driveway. The price we quote is the price you pay, with no hidden fees. It covers all lifting and loading, carrying from anywhere on the property, hauling and disposal fees, donation and recycling drop-offs, and a sweep-up at the end. If you add items on the day, we'll tell you the new price before anything else goes on the truck.
Every job is priced individually. The price we quote is the price you pay — no hidden fees. See how we price jobs.
