What a basement cleanout involves
Basements collect everything that doesn't have a home upstairs: holiday bins, a spare couch, a second fridge, boxes that never got unpacked after the last move. Clearing it out yourself means hauling all of it up a narrow staircase, one trip at a time.
That's the part we handle. Dominic is on jobs himself with his crew, and we do all the lifting and carrying, from the back corner of the basement, up the stairs and onto the truck. Nothing needs to be brought upstairs or set at the curb first.

How the job works
Most basement cleanouts go the same way. If you find more stuff on the day (in basements, you often do), just tell us. You'll get the new price before anything extra goes on the truck.

- We text before we arrive, then you walk us through what goes and what stays.
- We carry everything up and out, taking care with walls, railings and floors along the way.
- We sweep up before we leave.
Before we arrive
A little prep makes the day go smoothly, and none of it involves heavy lifting.
- Mark what you're keeping with tape or a sticky note. We're happy to follow specific instructions.
- Go through boxes for papers, photos and keepsakes before the day.
- Empty and unplug any fridge or freezer you want gone. If a washer is still hooked up to water, have it disconnected first.
- Set aside paint cans, chemicals, motor oil and propane tanks. We can't take those.
- When you send photos, tell us about tight turns, low ceilings or an outside basement door. It helps us quote accurately.
What we take, and what we can't
We sort every load. Whenever possible, items in good shape are donated and metal and electronics are recycled. The rest goes to a licensed New Jersey facility. We're an NJ A-901 licensed hauler, registered with the NJDEP (#0042737), and fully insured.
We can't take hazardous materials: paint, chemicals, motor oil, propane tanks, asbestos or medical waste. Old paint cans and chemicals tend to collect in basements, so check the shelves and corners. Not sure about something? Text us a photo.

How pricing works for basement cleanouts
Basement cleanouts are priced per job, not per truckload. The price depends on what's going (refrigerators and freezers with refrigerant, mattresses and tires cost more to dispose of legally), how much there is, and how hard it is to get out. A narrow, turning staircase and a long carry to the driveway take more work than a walkout door. That's why half a truck carried up a tight staircase can cost more than a full truck already in the driveway. Every price includes all lifting and carrying, hauling and disposal fees, donation and recycling drop-offs, and a sweep-up at the end. The price we quote is the price you pay, with no hidden fees.
