Junk removal in Monroe
Monroe Township covers about 42 square miles, the most of any town in Middlesex County, and it completely surrounds the separate Borough of Jamesburg. It's a mix of age-restricted communities like Rossmoor, Clearbrook, Concordia and Whittingham and neighborhoods for all ages, and much of the newer building has gone up around Route 33 and the New Jersey Turnpike. Household trash goes to a private hauler each resident chooses, and private communities already have their own haulers in place.
For big items, Public Works offers one free curbside bulk pickup a year by appointment, limited to about one pickup-truck load. Residents can also bring bulky items to the township Recycling Center on Gravel Hill Spotswood Road with proof of residency. Neither one takes construction debris or tires. - Monroe Township (ZIP 08831) completely surrounds Jamesburg, a separate borough that also uses 08831. The two have different trash rules, so check which one your home is actually in.
- The township says household waste is picked up by a private hauler of your choice, and private communities already have haulers in place. Its recycling guide notes that some of its information may not apply to senior and some HOA communities, so residents there should check with their association.

It does not take tires, construction debris, masonry, roofing material or household hazardous waste, and contractors, landscapers, businesses and commercial vehicles are not allowed.
