Wall Township covers about 32 square miles of eastern Monmouth County, in the heart of the Jersey Shore region. Nearly all of Wall shares ZIP codes with neighboring towns, including 07719 (Belmar), 08736 (Manasquan), 07762 (Spring Lake), 08750 (Sea Girt), 07727 (Farmingdale) and 07753 (Neptune), so check that you live in Wall Township before following its trash rules.
- Wall Township Public Works collects household trash and recycling once a week in township-issued containers, and curbside bulk once a month on a day set by your address. You can look up your bulk day by address on the township's Bulk page or in the annual Public Works Guide.
- Curbside bulk has a 10-item limit. It takes furniture, up to three mattresses and box springs, one door, one window, one room of carpeting, metal, grills with the propane tank removed, and household appliances. Refrigerators and other freon units need a fee paid before the pickup.
- Bulk day does not take electronics, tires, wooden sheds, wood playgrounds, decks, kitchen cabinets, sheetrock, lumber or other building materials, gas-powered equipment such as mowers and snow blowers, or large cardboard. The township notes that state law keeps electronics off the curb.
- Wall has two township recycling centers: North on Monmouth Boulevard, next to Brookdale, and South on Tiltons Corner Road behind the Public Works garage. They're for Wall residents only, your vehicle needs a township recycling sticker, and no contractors, landscapers, box trucks, rental trucks or anything larger than a pickup are allowed. They take electronics, and tires and some building materials for a fee, but not concrete, bricks, pavers, roofing shingles, stone or asphalt. Paint, motor oil, antifreeze and propane tanks go to the Monmouth County hazardous waste facility on Shafto Road in Tinton Falls.
